Security, Peace and Cohesion Building

IDN Kenya envisions a secure and harmonious society where individuals and communities thrive in mutual respect and shared prosperity. Through inclusive peace dialogues, grassroots mobilization, and stakeholder collaborations, we champion initiatives that prevent conflict and promote peaceful coexistence across Kenya.

Key Objectives:

  1. - Foster community cohesion through dialogue and civic engagement.
  2. - Prevent violent extremism and political misuse of youth.
  3. - Promote community policing and non-violent conflict resolution.

Peace Caravans through Nairobi Informal Settlements:

Taking peace to the people: a mobile campaign to unify communities across the 17 sub- counties in Nairobi- targeting the densely populated slum areas of Kangemi, Kawangware, Kibra, Kayole, Korogocho and Mathare.


Youth-Led Clean-Up in Dagorretti North Sub- County, Nairobi:

Engaging and Empowering youth to restore dignity, maintain peace and order as well as refrain from crime within their communities.


Police vs Civilian Youth Football Match, Baba Dogo:

Breaking barriers through sports: promoting dialogue, trust and cohesion.


Intercommunity Dialogue Forum:

Voices of peace in motion: local leaders and citizens forging unity through conversation.


National Peace & Security Conference:

Thought leaders and peacebuilders converge to chart Kenya’s path toward a secure and cohesive society.
